1). Create a Scrapbook. This birthday gift idea is perfect for close friends and parents. If you choose to create a scrapbook for your best friend, go through your olds picture albums. Pick out some silly and fun photographs that you and your friend are pictured in. If you are creating a scrapbook for a family member, like your mother, choose family photos that you know she will enjoy. 2). Write a Poem. If this gift is for a loved one, like a boyfriend or wife, nothing expresses how you feel more than poetry. Poetry is so wonderful because it shows someone that how you feel through words not expressed every day. Put your heart into words, and your partner will melt at the sentiment. 3). Make a Music Mix. Does your friend love music? If so, make them a music mix recorded on a CD. All you need is a computer with certain software and a burnable CD. CDs can be found at any home office store, like Staples or Office Depot. If you already have many songs that your friend will enjoy, copy them onto the disk. If you want to add some songs that you do not have, there are many web sites over the Internet that you can purchase music from. Typically, a song costs 99 cents. You can usually fit 12 to 15 songs, or 72 hours of music onto a CD. When you are finished recording, be creative and make some artwork for the CD case. 4). Bake Yummy Cookies. Anyone who loves sweets will appreciate this thoughtful birthday gift idea. If your friend is a chocoholic, bake double fudge cookies. If your cousin loves raisons, bake oatmeal raisin cookies, and so forth. Now, go to your local supermarket and purchase two packages of ready-bake cookies. Go home and bake, bake, bake. Then, place the cookies in a nice tin container you can find at any local Target for around $2.50. This gift should not cost you over $7.00 to make, and it is certain to put a smile on the gift recipient’s face.

5). Give the Gift that Grows. Instead of buying a bouquet of flowers that could cost you a bundle, purchase a couple of flower seed packages, instead. Sunflowers, wildflowers, and daisies can easily grow in the backyard. And the best part about these flowering seeds is that every time the gift recipient sees the flowers grow, he or she will remember what a thoughtful, unique birthday gift idea you thought of. Remember to wrap the seeds in quality wrapping paper. For a little extra money, the wrapping paper will make this gift seem extra-special.
